Serving Katlehong since 2000
Holistic care and sustainable community development for children, youth, women and older persons—so every person has the support to thrive.
Who we are
Katha Day Care is a registered Public Benefit Organisation advancing sustainable community development through care that meets people where they are—and grows with them.
What began as care for orphans and vulnerable children has grown into a vital community support system for children, youth, women, families and older persons. We combine compassion with measurable, professionally governed programmes that strengthen dignity, resilience and opportunity.
Our purpose and valuesOur life-cycle model
We address vulnerability at every critical stage—meeting immediate needs while building the skills, stability and independence that create lasting change.
What we do
Our integrated programmes support people from early childhood through adulthood, leaving no stage of development unsupported.

The change we work for
Our strategy is designed to shift families from vulnerability and dependency toward agency, stability and long-term resilience.
Preventing teenage pregnancy and substance abuse through behavioural interventions and mentorship.
Expanding vocational training and micro-enterprise initiatives to support sustainable livelihoods.
Helping families access identity documents, social grants, healthcare and welfare resources.
Growing income-generating activities that benefit both the community and the organisation.
